Home prices are continuing to fall across Australia, with stale listings growing, and auction clearance rates in the gutter. Yesterday Tarric Brooker and I discussed the early months of the falls across Australia, and noted that things seem to be mirroring the early months of the New Zealand Property market, which nearly five years later remains firmly in a down trend, with Wellington down 29.5% from peak, Auckland more than 24% down, and overall down 17%, based off the REINZ House Price Index, which of course is not corrected for inflation.
